Tomasius Brezen (吃音の ブレッゼン, Kitsuon no Burezzen, Stuttering Brezen) is a non-playable character in the Tactics Ogre games. His name was localized as Brenzen in the orignal North American Playstation release.

In Chapter 1, while Denam is en route to Phidoch castle, he comes across Brezen leading a company of Galgastani soldiers. One of his men attempts to convince Brezen to return to Rhime and rejoin the main force, but Brezen will hear none of it. When the man attempts to leave, Brezen kills him. He spats with Vyce and accuses the Resistance of disturbing the very peace they claim to be fighting for, saying that there was indeed peace before the Resistance chose to take up arms once again. In the end, he is defeated and muses to himself that he shall at least have peace in death.

A Galgastani who served his clan in battle. During the reign of King Dorgalua, deadly swordfights were a popular form of entertainment among wealthy Bakram in Heim. Only gladiators were permitted to participate in these bouts to the death. These gladiators were deserters or criminals chosen for their fighting ability. By choosing the path of the gladiator they escaped execution and were granted a small chance of freedom.

Brezen was once a gladiator himself, surviving numerous bouts to eventually win his liberty. His skill in battle saw him recruited into the army, but he was disliked by others for his vulgar manners. He was bullied mercilessly and made the target of much unjustified scorn. Perhaps because of this, his prowess on the field of battle waned.

He was killed after clashing with Denam Pavel on the Golbroza Plain.

Denam: Warriors of Galgastan! Lay down your arms, and you may yet keep your lives.

'I thought to offer you much the same deal, boy! A battle's won with blood, not numbers.'

Denam: Your cause is hopeless. Why throw away your lives?

'Soon or late, all men meet their end. What good to live in fear of it? I know your kind - young, always thinking on tomorrow. You might try letting go. Drifting with the current.'

Denam: You think me unprepared for death? I'm not so young as that!

'Gods beneath us, why do I even bother?'
